The Gamer Infinity SLI 8800's scores in Futuremark 3DMark06 are the highest we've ever seen: a mind blowing 19,087 @ 1,280x1,024 resolution, 17,922 @ 1,600x1,200, and 13,545 @ 2,560x1,600. The Cyberpower entry's average frame rates of 265 frames per second, 189fps, and 79.7fps in our DirectX 9 (DX9) Company of Heroes (at the same three resolutions) were likewise the top of the top. And the extremely demanding Supreme Commander, benchmarked at the same three resolutions, has also never looked or played better, with average frame rates of 67.1fps, 64.7fps, and 59.5fps. The two nVidia GeForce 8800 GT graphics cards, connected in a Scalable Link Interface (SLI) configuration, provide huge amounts of bang for fewer bucks for DX9 and most DX10 tasks, so you don't need to worry about being left out in the cold when the next latest-and-greatest title is released. And since the system uses a motherboard sporting nVidia's newest 780i chipset, you could even add a third graphics card for still more performance. In fact, the only antiquated thing about the Gamer Infinity SLI 8800 is its RAM: It's loaded with cheaper DDR2, not DDR3, so you won't get every drop of efficiency from that. Of course, since you still get 4GB of it (on two DIMMs), you're likely not to notice much. Also neatly packed in the tool-less Coolermaster Cosmo case: two optical drives (one 18x DVD±RW, one 16x DVD-ROM), three hard drives (two 150GB drives in a RAID Level 0 configuration, one 500GB for storage), a 12-format flash-card reader, wireless networking, and a liquid-cooling system. Additionally, you get a Logitech MX keyboard-and-mouse combo pack and a six-piece speaker set, as well as a 22-inch wide-screen monitor (which maxes out at 1,680x1,050 resolution). The operating system is the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium. This desktop PC is just perfect.
